Have you ever noticed your computer running slower than usual, strange pop-ups appearing out of nowhere, or programs opening on their own? 👀
If that sounds familiar, your computer might be infected with a virus.
In today’s video, I’ll show you how to tell if your computer has a virus — and what you can do to fix it.
Let’s start with the most common signs of a virus infection:
1️⃣ Slow performance: your PC suddenly takes ages to start or open files.
2️⃣ Unexpected pop-ups: ads or warning messages that appear even when you’re not browsing.
3️⃣ Programs crashing or freezing: things stop responding for no reason.
4️⃣ New icons or software: you notice apps you didn’t install.
5️⃣ High CPU usage: your fan is always running loud — even when you’re not doing much.
If you notice any of these, don’t panic! Here’s what you can do:
✅ Run a full antivirus scan. Use trusted software like Windows Defender, Avast, or Malwarebytes.
✅ Check your Task Manager for suspicious programs consuming a lot of memory or CPU.
✅ Update your system — many viruses exploit outdated software.
✅ Disconnect from the Internet to stop the virus from spreading or sending your data out.
To prevent future infections, always:
Avoid downloading unknown attachments or clicking strange links.
Keep your antivirus and operating system up to date.
And back up your data regularly — just in case.
So, if your computer’s acting weird, don’t ignore it — it could be trying to tell you it’s infected.
